The Chicago Symposium Series presents the First Midwest Symposium on
Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and Science:
Research and Practice
October 12-14, 2007 Roosevelt University, Chicago
Faculty and graduate students are invited to submit proposals to organize and lead a break-out
session or to prepare a poster for inclusion in a common-theme poster session.
To submit a proposal, fill out the appropriate form and send to us as indicated on the form.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is June 30 , 2007.
There are a limited number of travel grants available for presenters of
breakout sessions and for graduate student who submit posters.
The proposal forms contain details of how to apply for a travel grant.
There are two ways to submit proposals:
During the past ten years, the Chicago Symposium Series has offered over 100 breakout sessions,
most of which were presented by local chicago educators. The abstracts for these sessions are
available in our archives.
