Rodrigo Carraminana: Adjunct Associate Professor, PhD .University of Iowa
His research interest are in projective planes, finite geometries, non-Euclidean geometries and Mathematics Education. Also interested in undergraduate research and minorities in mathematics and science. Co-Director of the Alliance for Minority Participation. Teaches several courses for pre-services and in-services secondary math teachers.

Naomi D. Fisher: Adjunct Professor Emeritus, PhD -- Northwestern University
Director of the Mathematicians and Education Reform (MER) Forum, a national project to support educational work of mathematicians at the K-12, undergraduate and graduate levels; coordinator of the Chicago symposium series on "Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and Science: Research and Practice," a citywide program on undergraduate teaching and learning in mathematics and science; extensive experience in in-service teaching, especially of geometry; taught in the Park City Math Institute and in the SESAME program at the University of Chicago.

Does research on ergodic theory, dynamical systems, and Lie groups; teaches a course in mathematical analysis for secondary teachers.

Conducts research in Algebraic Geometry. Does research in Algebraic Geometry. In mathematics education, his interests are increasing the graduation rates of underrepresented minorities students and teaching the Advanced Euclidean Geometry.

Statistician who does educational evaluation for major projects in math education.

David Marker: Professor, PhD -- Yale University
Dave Marker is a logician and the 2004 winner of the UIC award for excellence in teaching. His research interests in logic, algebra, and analysis inform his teaching of courses in analysis and algebra for secondary teachers.

Danny Martin: Associate Professor, PhD -- University of California, Berkeley
Teaches courses in the undergraduate elementary education program. Research interests support a focus on mathematics socialization and the construction of mathematics identities among African American adults and adolescents. Currently developing a perspective that frames mathematics learning and participation as racialized forms of experience.

Teaches math education courses at both the elementary and secondary level, for both undergrads and in-service teachers. Research interests include metrics, adult learning,number theory, and error-correcting codes.

Friedberg and others, on college-level mathematics education problems that is used for TA training. Current interest in teaching number theory to pre- and in-service K-8 teachers, with the goal of improving their structural appreciation for arithmetic.
