I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Spring 2008 program on Representation Theory of Finite Groups at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley, California. Technically, I am on leave from the University of Illinois at Chicago, but I shall not return. I am also a Research Affiliate of Reykjavík University.

Here are some notes from a lecture series I gave from October 2004 to February 2005. The lectures were based in part on my thesis Frobenius transfers and p-local finite groups but also covered classifying spectra of saturated fusion systems.
