Welcome
The Graduate Student Geometry and Topology Conference (GSTGC) is a yearly meeting for graduate students in mathematics interested in geometry and topology. The goal of this event is to encourage emerging and established mathematicians to share and exchange active research ideas in their fields.
The 2018 GSTGC will take place April 7-8 at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Accommodations, travel, and maps
Double rooms have been booked for attendees with lodging support at the Crowne Plaza West Loop hotel, at 733 W Madison. Check-in time is 3PM on Friday and check-out time is 12PM on Sunday. The hotel is within walking distance from UIC, or the CTA Bus #8 can be taken to and from campus along Halsted Street.
Participants driving will be provided with parking vouchers (3PM Friday - 9PM Sunday) for the Halsted / Taylor parking structure at 760 W Taylor, which will be distributed at registration. The parking structure may be entered without paying, and the voucher will allow drivers to leave without paying as well.
Chicago is served by two main airports at O'Hare and Midway, which are connected directly to UIC by the Blue and Orange CTA elevated train lines, the nearest stop being the UIC-Halsted stop. The UIC campus is conveniently located at the intersection of interstate highways I-94 and I-290, and driving and carpooling to Chicago is enouraged.
Maps will be provided of UIC's east campus with spots for coffee, lunch, dinner, and drinks, as well as buildings where conference talks will happen.
