Siegel disks: Siegel's proof
Abstract: In 1942 C. L. Siegel published a 6 page note that would become "one of the landmark
papers of the twentieth century." In this talk I will (a) explain the historical
relevance of small denominator problems, (b) argue in favor of revisiting Siegel's
original method by sketching his proof and relating it to current developments. I will
also give away the source of the quote above.
