K-theory of singularities
Abstract: Algebraic K-theory is an invariant of rings and algebraic varieties that is very hard to compute even in the simplest cases, for example, for fields. However, parts of this invariant can be understood for singular varieties, yielding both geometric and algebraic information about the singularity. In this talk, I will try to give a flavor of the approach used to obtain recent results in this direction.
