Weyl groups and linear representations
Abstract: I will report on a joint work with Uri Bader on superrigidity, focusing on linear representations of infinite countable groups (with good pedigree).
We will discuss (1) a notion of boundary of a group (related to the notions of Poisson-Furstenberg, Burger-Monod),
(2) classical Weyl groups and their generalizations, and (3) the relevance of these concepts to superrigidity of lattices.
