Inequalities for the Hodge Numbers
Abstract: The Hodge numbers represent the dimensions of certain cohomology spaces (the Dolbeault cohomology) and are often used in the classification theory of complex manifolds. In this talk we will review inequalities involving Hodge numbers, starting from the classical ones and continuing through to the most recent ones. We will introduce all the notions necessary to the understanding of the problem and plenty of time will be devoted to examples.
Though all are welcome to attend, this talk is intended to be accessible for graduate students of all levels; no background knowledge of Hodge theory is expected.
