LS category of laminations with a transverse invariant measure
Abstract: We introduce the notion of category by taking account of a transverse invariant measure. We show that it is a lower bound for the measure of the critical points of leafwise differentiable functions satisfying a certain Palais-Smale condition. In fact, we observe that this condition gives a slight improvement of the classical theorem of critical points . We also see that this category is an upper semicontinuous function in a suitable space of foliations with a transverse invariant measure on a closed manifold. Unfortunately, our category is zero in many interesting cases like minimal foliations, therefore we introduce a secondary invariant and we show that they regard new information
