Polynomials with wandering domains over non-archimedean fields
Abstract: According to Sullivan's famous No Wandering Domains theorem, every Fatou component of a rational function $\phi(z)$ defined over the complex numbers is preperiodic under iteration. I will present Rob Benedetto's family of polynomial counterexamples to the analogue of Sullivan's theorem in the case when $\phi$ is defined over a non-archimedean field such as $\mathbb{C}_p$.
