Birational Geometry of Moduli Spaces (II)
Abstract: This is the continuation to last week's talk. This time, I will discuss the history of the Minimal Model Program (MMP) and describe what happens when we use it for moduli spaces. A fair part of the talk will be devoted to defining the language required to understand the Minimal Model Program and Moduli Spaces. Depending on time, I aim to finish the presentation with an exposition of results from people closely related to our department, such as I. Coskun, D. Chen, and J. Huizenga.
