Kodaira's canonical bundle formula and adjunction
Abstract: I will follow the titled Kollár's paper. Given a log canonical pair $(X, \Delta)$, we can define the notion of log canonical center (LC center). Kawamata's subadjunction says by restricting the pair $(X, \Delta+\epsilon H)$, for small $\epsilon>0$ and ample $H$, to an exceptional LC center $W$, we can get a klt pair $(W, \Delta_W)$. Kodaira-type canonical bundle formula plays an essential role in the proof. The talk will explain how to choose moduli and boundary divisors in the kind of formula in a natural way.
