Homological Mirror Symmetry and Geometric Invariant Theory
Abstract: I will give a brief introduction to Kontsevitch's Homological Mirror Symmetry conjecture and explain it's relationship with birational geometry. Part of this relationship can be realized through Mumford's Geometric Invariant Theory. I will explain my results in this direction as part of joint work with Matthew Ballard and Ludmil Katzarkov.
