Curvature of principal bundles and their Euler classes
Abstract: How is the Euler number of a principal bundle an invariant of the bundle? This talk will introduce the ideas necessary to understand and answer this question. Along the way we will discuss how connections and curvature come into the picture, and how Milnor's result on the existence of connections with zero curvature affect this question.
