Entropy of Holomorphic Maps
Abstract: If $ f $ is a smooth map of the Riemann sphere, its entropy is exactly the logarithm of its degree. This result is due to Gromov. We'll sketch an alternate proof of this theorem using some machinery from the theory of nonuniformly hyperbolic dynamical systems.
