Zimmer's program for products of groups
Abstract: Broadly stated Zimmer's program aims to understand homomorphisms G->Diff(M,vol)
where M is a compact manifold and G is a "large" group. In this talk I will present a joint work with Nicolas
Monod, in which we analyze in particular such representations for G being a product of Kazhdan groups.
We prove a new cocycle superrigidity theorem which gives very curious dynamical conclusions.
