Exits from a semi-infinite tube
Abstract: In a joint work with K.Khanin, J. Marklof and A. Plakhov we
construct planar semi-infinite domains which reverse the direction
of the most of incoming billiard particles. This construction
is based on the existence of a certain limiting distribution
for the return times of a circle rotation and a reinterpretation
of the problem in terms of the geodesic flow on ASL(2,R)/ASL(2,Z).
