Algebraic K-theory and higher category theory
Abstract: Algebraic K-theory is a difficult but powerful invariant of algebro-geometric objects. After a discussion of some of the history and motivation behind algebraic K-theory, we will turn to some more recent progress in the subject, building upon advances in homotopy theory and category theory.
