Abstract: Fibering ribbon disk complements -- I will discuss how to constructively extend fibrations over $S^1$ of 3-manifolds to bounded 4-manifolds. The fibration of the 4-manifold will in general be singular, but with some constraints we can force the extension to be smooth. This is related to a question of Casson and Gordon: if a ribbon disk $D$ is bounded by a fibered knot, is the complement of $D$ fibered over $S^1$? In particular, I show the answer is, "yes," if $D$ has 2 minima, extending a result of Scharlemann for the unknot.
