The stable cohomology of orthogonal and symplectic groups over the integers
Abstract: We explain how to compute the stable cohomology of the groups O(n,n;Z) and Sp(n, Z). Here stable means that n tends to infinity. This is joint work with Hebestreit and Land and is a consequence of recent results about Grothendieck-Witt theory.
