Crane-Yetter model = Turaev shadow model
Abstract: Crane-Yetter (CY) is a 4-dimensional TQFT defined as a state sum. To compute the CY invariant for a 4-dimensional smooth manifold M, we only need a triangulation of M. On the other hand, the Turaev shadow model is another invariant for 4-dimensional smooth manifold originates from statistical mechanics. Instead of a triangulation of M, it requires a "shadow" (a prefoam + twisting data) of M. Despite the difference in both of their origins, nature, and definitions, we prove that they are in fact equal.
