New knot theories: how far can you go?
Abstract: In the last few decades various new sorts of knot theories have been discovered/invented, such as virtual knots, flat virtuals, singular knots, doodles and other simulacra of classical knot theory. In this talk I will look at how far they have similar properties to the mother theory. Items such as fundamental group, quandle, biquandle, Kauffman bracket, Jones polynomial, Alexander and Markov theory etc, etc will be considered. I will give a lot of detail so the talk will probably expand and multiply into other talks until the audience screams stop.
