Simplicial embeddings of pants complexes are geometric.
Abstract: After introducing the pants complex of a surface,
we will show that, for most surfaces, every simplicial
embedding of pants complexes is induced by an embedding of
surfaces. Time permitting, we will discuss some applications
of this result.
