A structure theory for limit groups
Abstract: I'll describe the theory of $\omega$-residually free towers, and explain their connection to the structure theory of limit groups and Sela's and Kharlampovich--Miasnikov's solutions to Tarski's problem. Given time, I'll give a quick example application: the proof that limit groups are coherent.
This talk is intended primarily for graduate students, and will provide an introduction to the material needed to understand Wilton's talk on Friday.
