Puiseux series dynamics and complex dynamics
Abstract: The aim of this talk is to show the interplay between the structure, near infinity, of the moduli space of rational maps and dynamics over a non-Archimedean field $\mathbf{L}$. Here $\mathbf{L}$ is the field obtained as the completion of the field of formal Puiseux series with coefficients in $\mathbf{C}$. The emphasis will be on cubic polynomials. In particular, we establish an explicit correspondence between the Branner-Hubbard parameter space solenoids and some Galois orbits in $\mathbf{L}$ (under the action of the Galois group of $\mathbf{L}$ over the field of formal Laurent series).
