Izzet Coskun has been appointed as the 2023 LAS Distinguished Professor.
This award was established in 2006 to recognize exceptional faculty members for their significant and sustained intellectual scholarship in their chosen fields, as well as for their contributions to the LAS and UIC communities.
Even though only two are chosen each year, this is the sixth LAS Distinguished Professor we have had in the history of MSCS. The appointment comes with a public lecture that we look forward to seeing next academic year.
